Biography:
Professor Lady Ngozi Franca Okoye, PhD has taught for over 16 years in the University. She is a Professor at IPD London United Kingdom. She is also a Visiting /Adjunct Professor at Godfrey Catholic University. She has a BSc, MSc and a PhD in Biochemistry. She recently completed a certificate course on Health Effects of Climate Change from Harvard University T. H. Chan School of Public Health. She also completed an Economic Leadership course from the University of Oxford UK. She also studied Digital Productive and Well Being from the University of Cambridge. She heads her own research group. She authored over 45 peer reviewed
publications including 5 books. A seasoned
administrator and an accomplished scientist. Prof Lady Okoye research interests
include formulation of new drugs from novel sources and environmental remediation. She has supervised over 60 BSc, 15 MSc and 3 PhD research projects. She mentors a lot of young women in Science and founded her own organisation
YWISET (Young women in science, engineering and technology) in 2017. Her organization
has over 1000 members with her vision to make science inclusive. She is a member of professional and honour societies including
Sigma Xi research honour society USA, British and European Biochemical Society, La Caixa Foundation Spain.
She also won numerous awards including the award of Icon of Excellence for
contributions to humanity.
She recently won an election in Sigma Xi and elected to serve a three year tenure in the prestigious Committee of Nominations in Sigma Xi USA. She was also appointed to serve in the Global Outreach Committee of Sigma Xi. Sigma Xi is a multidisciplinary honour society of Scientists and Engineers. This society has more than 200 Nobel prize winners including Albert Einstein, Watson and Crick and more than 100,000 members.
She was the Managing Editor of Good Life Magazines. She is the owner of Franca TV with over 60K followers, Franca magazine, and owner and host of the Franca Show. She is the author of many books including Happy marriage is a Balanced Equation, Marriage has no formular, Unique Me Unique You Build Your Self Esteem. Professor Lady Ngozi Franca Okoye is married to Professor Sir Ifedi Peter Okoye and she has five children with him.
